Dr Archana has completed her MBBS from Navodaya Institute of Medical Sciences and research centre, Raichur. She pursued her post graduation from Pushpagiri institute of Medical Sciences and Research centre, Thiruvalla. Also completed her DNBin Microbiology. She worked as Senior resident in Sree Uthradom Thirunal Academy Of Medical Sciences and also worked as Consultant Microbiology and Research Associate in Rajiv Gandhi Centre for Biotechnology which is a central government research institute.
Dr Archana is dedicated to providing timely and accurate reports of the routine bacteriological cultures and infectious serology. She is the infection control officer of Smita hospital who ensures evidence-based management of infectious diseases and also takes care of all the infection control practices in the whole hospital.
She gives training to health care workers in hand hygiene, sample collection and transportation of specimens and awareness programmes in Antimicrobial resistance. She is interested in research activities in the field of Clinical Bacteriology and Mycology.
